Comfortable In Her Genes

Jamie-Lynn Sigler (Meadow Soprano, Carmela and Tony’s daughter, on the hit HBO series The Sopranos) has openly discussed her battle with an eating disorder and is a spokesperson for the National Eating Disorders Association (NEDA). Jamie-Lynn has been part of the campaignforrealbeauty.com Dove Series for Women and Girls and has formed The Jamie-Lynn Sigler Foundation at The Giving Back Fund to promote the development of healthy body images in young women and men and to educate the public about the prevention and serious consequences of eating disorders. Jamie-Lynn wants to see that the public understands this disorder, to see that those affected have access to quality treatment, and to see that their families get the necessary support. To this end she wrote the book "Wise Girl" and makes herself available at forums (such as the Playhouse in Ridgefield, Connecticut on May 17th) to contribute to the dialogue of eating disorder awareness.

Bravo Jamie-Lynn.
